I have been wondering where my Pretec 233x cards will do. Obviously A900 is very sensitive to rated speed.

I am using the Sandisk Ducati 4GB, which is at the top the table for 4GB cards, and the Kingston 266X Ultimate which is also in the top 10. Rob has not tested the Sony 300X.

One error only has affected me so far - and I very rarely have had any card errors in years of shooting. One raw file, in the middle of a sequence of shots, was unreadable on the Sandisk. The card was entirely filled, but this was not at the 'end' of the card capacity, midway through shooting. The JPEG for the same image was readable. Various different recovery methods/readers/host machines did not retrieve the file.

The only strange thing there is the TwinMOS Ultra-X, which was so appalingly slow on my 5d, I ebayed the damn thing. I clocked it at a terrible 1mb sec on the 5d for write speed, and it did a great job of making instant reviews slow too. Course it might do better on this one..but I found even the bog standard cards, aka fuji..smoked it.

Been with transcend for a while now..and they are much better cards all round.
