Thanks to Kevin Barrett, I came to know that this kind of geological formation is called a stack.
At Natural Bridges State Park, Santa Cruz, California. CZ24-70 on A900.

Indeed. On a nice warm summer day, it is the place to be. This part of California is quite rugged and
the waters are quite cold since the currents are coming south from Alaska. You have to go down another
couple of hundred miles south before the water starts warming up because of currents coming from Mexico in south.
Without a wet suit, you will not last more than 10 mins in these waters, if you are lucky.
