As the forecast was for sunshine and little wind I headed out for an early walk in a local wood. I wanted to check how the spring wild flowers were getting along, and I also took the opportunity to make some pictures

I got to the wood just as the sun began to rise. It was a cold morning and there was a misty start to the day with some nice 'warm' dawn light.

In the fields outside of the wood, I really like the light across these fields, with the mature trees in the distance.

The Bluebells and Ransoms are coming on, but not flowering yet. There were some nice swathes of Wood Anemones, but in the cold morning air they were all closed up.

Luckily the Blackthorn blossom is made of hardier stuff .

Both A99, the first with SAL 28-75, and the second with the Tamron 90 SP Macro.
