Very nice Caporip . Great colours. I visited a pond at the weekend tha had Flag Irises but every single bloom was withered. Must be something affecting them. Yours seems to be in fine health.

Thanks Greg and Sury Red Clover is quite small about 2-3cm diameter 'ball'.

Those blue flowers ooze luxury Sury - very nice.

Here are some more meadow flowers. I had to go as far a field as the next county for these - darkest Herefordshire! A new reserve for me, this time run by Plantlife (UK).

There were great swathes of Common Spotted Orchids here - I've never seen them like this. A lot of card space was filled before I could drag myself away

Very pretty flower Sury, nice lighting.
Wowzer a whole field of ground orchids, amazing stuff Birma. (I think there is some Herefords here actually, or a mixture of them and some other cattle breed, I’m not a cattle expert)

Thanks Greg I was blown away when I walked in to the field for the first time on Saturday morning. I didn't know what to point the camera at first.

Hereford beef cattle seem to be more poplar over here at the moment as well. They are quite photogenic with their red-brown with cream two-tone colouring. I will have to try and photograph some. The Herefordshire County Council have just started changing their road signs annoucing entry in to the county so that they have a picture of a Hereford bull on them. They used to use three (cider) apples.

Lovely Blue Iris (I think) Sury

Here are some more from the meadow. First Yellow Rattle. The seed heads form little rattles, hence the name.

Pretty flower Sury, (the last one I mean)
Wow Birma another new one, and cute with the little yellow heads popping out, (I wonder if the plant has been watching too many alien movies? Or it might be me…nah it’s the plant)
And yes there is a difference in the petal shape now you mention it, I can see it if you look at the orchid shot following Sury’s 1st blue flower and your last orchid, also the pattern is different but that might be variable a bit anyway, great stuff Birma.

tweety birds of Disney cartoon fame peeking out.
