Hi Valery,

I know absolutely nothing about the abilities of A57 as a camera but the timing, plus the camera was instantaneous in capturing these events. Though the scale and the reason for those fires and smoke are completely different, I could still compare the interesting shapes of the smoke to a small-scale atom bomb's....., I guess. One-time-only shapes and colour for sure.

Well done, :)

Thanks for sharing. (I'm also glad the CZ 16-80 was good for use in such shots. Now I have to go and study the features of the A57. I wonder if A77 and A99 would have been even faster for such a shooting...? )

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz

Thank you all for the comments! Aster, a77 it's a "big brother" of a57. The cameras have the same speed shooting up to 12 f/s, a77 has more "the toys" on the body and the noisy 24mps matrix compare to 16mps a57. I had a77 for the day, but have to return back to the shop, because the noise from a77, it's too high for me at ISO1600 and up.
a99 - it's probably my next camera, I really like a99, little bit slower the my a57, but other than that - super camera!

Thank you, Valery. :)

That explains a lot. Noted the 'noisy' for the A77... I think my next camera will be either an A99 or similar. Though in between I may decide to use a couple of others for trial purposes.

the a99 is the one to pick, both of you, Yildiz and Valery.

Great Canada Day shots from the grounds of the Manitoba Legislative Building ValeryD.
Excellent timing and atmospheric feel, only the sound is missing. Well done and thank you for sharing.
