I missed that one Yildiz, anyway I didn’t know what an Anthurium was until I looked it up, its from tropical Columbia I see. There is a pot plant here as it turns out, (after I saw the photos on Wiki), but it’s the white one.
It should be interesting to see after it’s finished unrolling, and I agree nice bokeh.

The meadow I visited at the weekend was full of wonderful grasses, and the Wavy Hair-grass (great name!) looked great in the low sunlight, with the dew still on it.

You know, Birma, these seemingly ordinary plants make neat photography subjects.
Both are beautiful with that warm golden light.

The second with the Sun as an ablaze disk is like frame out of a documentary. ( I watched many documentaries on ancient Egypt lately and there the ablaze sun disk, ATON, the god is used abundantly and frequently. )

Nice Birma, you get pretty flowers and orchids and we get weeds, both of these go berserk along the outside, some kind of dandelions I think.

Thanks Greg and Yildiz . I'm still learning how things will look with the sun in the frame, but I was pleased with the sun shot, and the other captured the colour of the Summer meadow well, for me.

A wild flower I had never really noticed before. Really beautiful colour, and it was set off well against the cool green of the woodland around it. I wonder how this delicate looking flower became the inspiration for the big bad rabbit in Watershipdown?

That new one has a flower that looks a bit orchid-ish Birma, (I’m not familiar with the association you made though; it must be something I haven’t seen yet), the green background suits it very well as does the tan for the seeded grass, nice contrast between the two.

Greg, you're right - it does have that orchid shape of flower, but its not related. It was a herb used in medieval times to help heal woulds (hence the name). I was referring to a book I read many years ago by Richard Adams called Waterhsip Down http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watership_Down. It is a book about a group of rabbits that go on a journey to establish a new warren after there original one is destroyed. I read it as a wee nipper and loved it at the time - it was the first 'grown up' book I was bought my my parents who knew I was mad keen on animals. I think he wrote a lot of books of this type. There was an animated film made of the book. In the story the heroes meet other rabbits and the major bad rabbit was called General Woundwort.
