From what I’ve heard DA those Golf course skippys are quite fond of the game and will take the ball and drop it next to the pin or even in the hole for you, I haven’t seen it personally though.

Thanks guys, actually the tree is in front out on the nature strip, this is what it looked like when the idiot ran into it.
They came along a few weeks later and propped it back up, I was sure it would die, but no, it survived, and I was amazed.

Greg, your Curlews appear to be very human-friendly. No injuries with the resting one I hope. And the Cherry tree in blossoms is an enchanting sight, one tree we never had you show us before, I believe. Seeing it alive and vibrant with pink after such an undesirable encounter with cars that went out of control in the hands some new driver, is a great feeling.

Nicely shot too. Good of you to spare some time out of your busy schedule with the house maintenance works.

Thanks Yildiz, you are correct I think about the tree not appearing in a photo before, but then I think this is the first time it’s had a nice blossoming since it was almost destroyed so I thought it well deserved a little attention.
And yes it’s easy to get rid of some time on photographic forums, I got interested in the A99 threads at dpr back when people started buying it (even at the price) and posting about it, some of those threads went on and on and sometimes two and three threads at the same time. In the end it was too hard to keep up with two photo forums at the same time, for a couple of months.
But I did end up with a good sense about the new camera which is what I wanted to do, I’ll probably do the same again when or if Sony releases another important camera, one never knows when they might release one that has what I want, but I won’t hold my breath.

Ps the Curlews were gone in the morning, the move around a lot at night so I don't think there was anything wrong, they often hunker down like that during the daytime, it’s normal for them to do that for sure.
Townsville weather: 19.3⁰C at the moment so the weather report says, feels colder, but they also say 97% humidity, that might be why it feels cold.

Thanks guys, 24⁰C in daytime Birma, yeah I can imagine, its 27⁰C in the day here and that feels cool to me, not sure why because that shouldn’t be what you would call cool.

It just goes to show how you get used to temperature. Just a week of days around 30 degrees, and then 24 feels chilly. A year ago (when we were suffering summer floods) we would have loved a day at 24! Thunderstorms, high humidity and cloud forecast for the next 7 days. Pay back for all of that good weather .

8:43 am at the moment. Not bad for morning hours; a little breeze and pleasing enough in Istanbul...


So raspberry jam blows its top in the face of a little heat! I never saw such a thing before. . Seeing is believing, so now must watch out for strawberry and other jams to not do that. The wild bees finding their way into your kitchen would enjoy the event though.
