Murph, what can I say, those are lovely pictures, and… I just envy you so much (I have to spend one and a half hours in a train each day on my way to work…).

Great pictures Murph and what a lovely commute to work. I like the way in #1 and #3 that the foreground mirrors the background; leaves in the water and trees, swan in the foreground and swan in the background. I hope it the walk to work will be as nice tomorrow.

IMHO, I think the first picture needs a bit of cropping from the bottom. The leaves are attracting your sight, leading away from the beautiful house (or whatever it is) and its reflection.
Thanks for the comments, most of the lake birds don't migrate, apart from the Canada geese, as it generally doesn't get that cold (although occasionally you will see the birds standing ON the lake rather than being in it, when there is a heavy overnight frost)
Regarding the cropping, I deliberately left the leaves in as a lead into the picture and a signal of autumn, however its good to find out how others view your pictures, after all it is fairly subjective - what I need to do is get busy with the clone tool and clean some of the sticks and things out of the picture as I feel they catch your eye (on the original there is also a crisp packet, and other assorted rubbish in the lake - beats me why people do that)
