Tsawwassen partly cloudy 18ºc.

Two ferries heading in to Tsawwassen & freighter for Roberts Bank Superport. Looks like smoke from forest fires, more than 200 new wildfires have started around the province over the past few days, most of which were caused by lightning. Mostly small fires. There is a Province wide ban on campfires due to it being so dry.

Lovely light over the water and the boats / shipping, DA. Finger crossed that you don't get any big fires  .

Despite the heavy showers we've been having over the last few weeks it is still surprisingly dry on the land. I've been trying to get some shots of the fields of wheat before they are harvested and the fields are pretty dry. I even managed to end up in a drainage ditch between fields yesterday (being the fleet footed photographic ninja that I am :) ) and was pleasantly surprised to find it dry.

Sunny spells here and just into the Greg comfort zone (20ish) ;)

Wildfires and smoke haze are something I wouldn’t have expected from such a normally green lush place that’s been so evident in your previous photos DA, I guess if it does dry out a bit then there is lots of potential fuel to add to the fires, let’s hope it does rain again soon. I think the ship over yonder in the first is my size for going outside after seeing your fishing trip photos.

Ps Yes 20 is a more civilized temperature for me for sure Birma, 8) the TV weather said 11 tomorrow morning here, but the weather site on the web said 15, I wonder which one is going to be correct.

Hi David Antony, : )

Just the kinds of photos I love; the seascape, boats, speeding boats and people on boats or boards... : ) Looking good. Must have been very peaceful seeing that you appear to be across the urban part of Vancouver.

Thanks for sharing,

Love the shot of the speed boat in the last picture DA. I'd like a bit more of a craft around me if I was that far out - more than just a board and a paddle :)

Yes I agree with Birma the scene across towards the city and the speedboat is great DA but I’m finding I’ve newfound interest in boards myself, I don’t mind the cut of that one’s jib.

The neighbor is cutting down all his trees lately, one after the other, this is the latest one, getting rid of all the shade trees just before summer arrives, I think he might regret it myself.

Always a shame to have to cut down trees. Perhaps their insurance is making them do it? It is very close to the house and power / telephone lines.

(?) Odd indeed...Why would someone cut all trees down to nothingness?

Sad to see them go. Maybe a construction in plans that requires a wider footprint? In any case it does look weird, irrelevant and no so nature-friendly at all.

Thanks for sharing, Greg.
