That's a nice set Henry. I especially like the rainy scene and the motel shots. The name above the door at the motel wasn't Bates was it?

The Texas shots and the Mojave Desert, Nevada shot were with the Canon G15. The other 2 Nevada shots were with the Canon S95.

Thanks. No, I don't recall the name of this old motel, but probably not Bates. Coincidentally, I just watched Psycho on TV a couple of nights ago. The rainy photo was through my car's windshield. I was stopped at a traffic light and turned off the wipers so that the glass would get covered with water. I liked the way it looked so pulled the S95 out of my pocket for a quick shot before the signal changed.

It was probably that rain shot that started the whole Psycho analogy going through my mind . Its a good reminder that great pictures aren't necessarily about laser accurate, super fast auto focus, ISO 128,000, and 11 stops of dynamic range .

That twisted thingy is the work of one of the most famous architects of 20th and 21st centuries, Frank O. Gehry and is clad in titanium and not aliminium as that's how he likes his buildings. Most other of his designs accomodate similar external features and design elements all around the world. It's his trademark, one could say. : )

Good ones, Henry. Your in-vehicle urban experiences are pretty newto us but one you can safely pursue. I like them all, in fact; all pertaining to diverse realities of past...

Hmm he not only made something that has no purpose he also made sure it will be around for a very long time, it’ll probably be there long after the human race has disappeared.

I like all of those Tony, what is the purpose of the stainless steel building? A stopover for holidaying Borg, or maybe a powerplant heat exchanger? Whatever it is it sure is ugly but I like the photo just the same.
