I like all of those Tony, what is the purpose of the stainless steel building? A stopover for holidaying Borg, or maybe a powerplant heat exchanger? Whatever it is it sure is ugly but I like the photo just the same.

I hope you don't mind my answering your inquiry?
It's world renowned architect Richard Rogers’ 1986 “masterpiece” — Lloyds of London.

The building is one of the boldest structures of the world which was designed and constructed with the intention of exposing all the services' infrastructure on the exterior, in an 'inside-out' fashion as opposed to the other more conventional approaches' architectural structures where the plumbing, stairs, fume tubes are in the interior cores.
It is used by a famous insurance firm in London's financial district. It's one of the first typical buildings any architecture student learns in architectural history classes.

It's in the City (square mile in London) and is an office block. There's some Google app that can identify images but I haven't used it so I can't remember

Recently (well not just recently ) with the introduction of NEX, talk of gear, you know "better", more expensive gear, dominates. One would think that it is not possible to take any worthwhile photos with anything that is not expensive and/or the newest. Let's have a tribute thread to lowly tiny sensor digicams and the photos we have made with them!

Please post photos you like that were taken with a tiny sensor (smaller than 4/3) camera or camera phone. Let's celebrate photography in this thread!

When I started this thread there was a big jump from tiny sensors to 4/3 with nothing in between. Now we also have 1" sensor cameras from Sony and Nikon, so let's say that this thread is for 2/3" and smaller sensors. Thanks!

And let's not forget the Canon G1X.....

I think this thread has shown that regardless of the improvements to cameras, sensors and lenses it's still possible to appreciate and use older, smaller sensor cameras.
Of course people will need the larger megapixel sensors for some work. That obviously depends on whether you need the much higher definition prints available with > 12 megapixels. Most people don't print much larger that what will fit on a sheet of A4 (11" x 8") so even a 5/6 megapixel sensor could suffice. My biggest regret is selling my Minolta 7D in exchange for a Sony A700. I didn't need the extra sized sensor, I didn't need the faster multi-shot capability, so the Sony offered few if any advantages over the Minolta for me. I have an album of prints from the Minolta - all on sheets of A4 and friends, visitors do seem to like them.....

SR71 is my all time favorite plane. Here is one from Rolex Classic Car races from Laguna Seca Raceway, near Monterey California.
This is with Dimage A2. Taken in 2006. I think that one is a GT40 if I am not mistaken.

And your image shows that you had more than enough pixels since you could crop the bottom third....

I didn't forget about the G1X, but its sensor is larger than 4/3. There are so many sensor sizes these days, but for this tiny sensor thread let's keep it to 2/3" and smaller sensors.

This thread has been going on for several years so I have used various tiny sensor cameras. My tiny sensor camera list since 2000 is:

2000 Olympus D-340R 1.2mp (bought for my wife)
2001 Olympus D-510Z 2.1mp
2002 Minolta D7i 5mp (sold in 2004)
2004 Canon A70 3.2mp
2006 Canon A540 6mp
2008 Canon A590IS 8mp
2012 Canon S95 10mp
2013 Canon G15 12.1mp
2013 Canon A4000IS 16mp (bought for my wife)

I still have all of these, except the Minolta D7i. I currently only use the Canon S95 and Canon G15 though.
