Hi Toni, thank you for your kind comment :)

The recent landscapes are from the Isle of Skye on the West coast of Scotland in the UK. It is a very popular photographic destination in the UK as it has mountains close to the sea, lakes, rivers, easy access to most locations, and great light :)

I have just returned from holiday there. It is a frequent destination for us as my wife's parents live there.

When at home I live in Worcester in The UK. This is a different landscape of pretty typical agricultural countryside in the middle of the UK. It is a greener and more 'gentle' landscape than Skye and not as popular with photographers

Toni, that is a very nice shot. It seems you got the golden hour of sunrise which you
see less often than the evening one. Assuming your question is a general one, :)
I live in San Jose, California (more commonly known as Silicon Valley). I do travel
a bit so my photos tend to be little bit more diverse geographically speaking.

Here is another Isle of Skye shot. Some nice colours on the sky with the early morning light. I've photographed this spot a lot but can't resist having another go at it :)

A portrait shot of the landscape :)

2014 Skye Feb - Across The Burn by Birm, on Flickr

From our trip to the Isle of Skye again. I hope that there is enough of as lead in line with the rocks in the burn to lead your eye across and on toward the glen in the distance. I could of stayed out shooting in this one location all day. Good amount of water in the burns, mountains dusted with snow, and the sky ever changing. Glorious stuff, and easy to see why it is one of the most photographed areas on Skye, which is itself one of the most photographed areas of Scotland :) .

The house in the first one gives you a sense of scale of the landscape.
Both are nicely done Andy.

Lovely scenes Birma, also Sury and ValeryD, Birma those scenes are beautiful enough not to need the extra I think, but the foreground water streams tumbling over the rocks coupled with the snowy backdrops are really nice.

Shoreline Park, Mountainview, California. This is the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay, and where the
Silicon Valley begins.

Lovely clouds Sury :) . Looks like a nice place for 'messing about on the water' .

Andy, yes indeed. Once you get to the back from this back water, you are in wind surfing heaven.
Also, these marsh lands are protected so there is no construction of any sorts either.

Richard,
Love it. I wonder if it is possible to see some details on the stone wall.

I love this picture, Richard, especially with the all too familiar rain sweeping across Macleod's tables in the background. I will be adding this place to my photo locations for my next visit to the misty isle :)
