This picture was taken on a two-day canootrip last week.
At first I didn't want to take a picture of the scene but I did it anyway. I liked it much more than I thought. It reminds me of the old master paintings from typical dutch landscapes.

Its lovely, impressively sharp, and wonderfully pastoral. I think the building obscured behind bush is a little distracting, though it certainly generates interest. I think we should see a little more of it perhaps. Also, the saturation of the sky is very nice.

Thank you but honestly, I would not know what to do to make it better, it's oke this way I think. We saw some "ijsvogels" = kingfisher there but they were to fast to photograph.

Thank you, the Biesbosch is a part of The Netherlands that was flooded in 1421a.d. en never brought back to land. It has also been used as a hiding place during WWII en the house that you can see makes it quite interesting. There is almost only water and almost no roads, only a few houses. The house indeed generates interest and within the history of the Biesbosch I think the picture would mean a lot less without that house.
