Thanks for the comment Sury. Picture of Aura has sure been some what controversial as some have liked it a lot and some others have found it distracting. I think same applies to Lensbaby in general. It's not for everyone, but then again, things that are for everyone usually tend to be boring or at least a bit toothless in general. I think using Lensbaby one can give a certain edge to pictures.

"While I've been shooting quite a lot with the Edge 80 (and I love it), I need to familiarize myself better with Sweet 35. The Sweet 35 is a totally different lens compared the Edge 80. It's a 35mm drop in optic with a 12-blade adjustable aperture ranging from f/2.5 to f/22. Unlike Edge 80, which has a flat focus field, Sweet 35 creates a sharp sweet spot of focus surrounded by blur. [...]"

The second is very interesting. Usually one finds the door to be in sharp focus.
Very atypical and I can appreciate the special type of lens to accomplish that.

I guess using the distinctive look that Lensbaby offers leads easily to atypical pictures, which are or are not appropriate depending on the use. It's the look of different and works nicely sometimes.

Yep and I quite like it.
Having a soft tones and soft overall look makes this image more interesting than if it would have been shot all sharp and clinical for example.

Hi Toni - I really like that one -lovely warm colour and the shallow dof really focuses your eye on the silhouetted figure. Great back lighting as well.
