Excellent series.
I really like the high key(ish) background in the first one and equally contrasting
low key(ish) one in the third one.

On the second photo, right behind the left eye of the model, is that make up
caking or skin texture? It is quite distracting.

This is really a great portrait, Sury! Lovely shot which convoys the feelings of caring and one of the best shots I've seen from you. I also have to agree with Birm that depth of field works perfectly here putting your daughter in spotlight. Very good and I'm sure you are proud of this shot as you very well should be - this picture will have important meaning in years to come.

The second pic is good too (on an emotional level too), but the first one get's all the attention.

Thank you Andy, Toni and Henry. I very much appreciate your kind sentiments
and comments. I love the first one very much too and the second one is a special
one in the sense that it is one of the rare moments that I captured where my son
is very relaxed. Unless you are his father/photographer, you wouldn't know.

Some excellent portraits in this thread.

My cousin's son just turned 1. He was pretty serious early in his life, but now that he's increased in stature and wisdom he sees the benefits of developing a pleasant smile. Of course, maybe it's just that I had his little stuffed tiger draped over my lens.

The sun was going down and he was very active. I really had a hard time getting a good focus on him.

Very nicely framed. Perhaps, sharpening those eyes might make it that much more enjoyable.

Sury, I agree on the eyes. I kept trying to sharpen them but wasn't pleased with the results.
