Monterey Car Races 2014 Spin

Unread post by sury »

I was walking down a hill and saw this happen. Taken with 70-400 and thanks to fast focus
I was able to get almost all of it. I was about half a mile away as crow flies.

I know I am violating the posting etiquette/requirement of 3 at a time, and I hope an exception
can be made for this set since breaking them apart makes them disjointed.

With best regards,
Sury

Another nice set Sury - they'll be turning you away from the track if they find out that you cause crashes just by focusing on the cars  !

Is the race over if slide over sand or is the car still working after that kind of long slide with possible hit to the car body?

It depends on the condition of the car and driver. If the car is immobile or driver is hurt, the race is over for that
participant. And the race will go on.....

Thank you, Andy. On the other hand, a fellow photographer who caught the crash incidence from the beginning turned it in for evidence since the driver claimed to have hit by another car. So I think I am ok for now.
