Really like this last one. Moving water makes it different than most of the usual flower pics.jbtaylor wrote:From Longwood Gardens. Tried out some old Minolta lenses.
A bonus shot with the 135mm 1.8

Much appreciated.
The lily ponds at Longwood Gardens are a special place.

Re: Flowers 2014
It seems to have been an age since I've posted any pictures. The first part of work was very busy with work, and then I was on holiday without very good internet access. Here is a picture from earlier in the summer - another shot of the lavender field.

As we slip into Autumn rain and storms, here in the UK, a brief reminder of the colour and light of summer. This is from the Eden Project, in Cornwall.

Some great flower shots here. Sury, is that last one a Christmas cactus? It reminds me of something my Grandma used to have.

Re: Flowers 2014
Jeff, Missus mentioned that it was a cactus and I should take some photos.
Beyond that, I do not know. Perhaps it is Christmas Cactus.

This is Kohleria spicata from my garden. It's native to South America.

This is another Kohleria species: Kohleria digitaliflora warscewiczii. It grows along roadsides near my house.

Nice capture, Pitter. Interesting flowers too. Are they ornamental?
