It was staged, obviously. I pictured the shot days before when I was invited. I pulled the curtain back but the high contrast setting on the camera blew out the window.

JT, excellent shot. The square and the ball separated by the stick is well done. And the black and white works well with it.

Jeff, Chachani mountain ranges are looking amazing....

JBTaylor, very graphically/geometrically abstract; I like the idea of using the shape of the light source in the distance as additional abstract contributor. The number '8' on the ball as well as the cue stick placed in bias against the rest of the shapes make it appear as though there was a mathematical equation set on the table... : ) Very nice use of the lens, yet once again.

Thanks for the feedback. I viewed a video about seeing in B&W and am trying to apply some of those principles.

The B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, MD is probably the most extensive of it's kind in America. Wasn't sure what to expect but you can smell the history.

Great shots JT. And yes Sury, go to the rail museum in Sacramento. It's really good. I went probably 15 year ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

IR shot of Picchu Pichu with the IR a580 and Tamron 70-300.

I don't understand why my .jpg files look so different after I upload them. There is a very noticeable difference when viewing a file from the internet side by side with the file that is on my computer. The contrast is much higher in the uploaded version. Oh well, it is what it is I guess.

Great job. Is that a modified camera or IR
Filter?
How far are you from Cusco and Lake Titicaca?

Sury it's both.

It's a full spectrum modified a580. For IR I have to use a filter on the lens. AF doesn't work, but I have the option of using various levels of IR filters. If I ever get around to buying more filters.
