Hi,
I know snow and storms are giving people a very hard time in the USA and many other parts of the World... but the first snow of the winter season has just covered the roofs in Istanbul and the Sun still shows its face making it a cold yet pleasing day here. : )
I'm glad we have a white New Year's eve, since we missed the White Christmas.
Please feel free to share your weather in this thread.
Thanks,
Yildiz
The first snow of winter season/Istanbul/30 December 2015
That all sounds awful ! I've been following the news on the matter; a serious discomfort and inconvenience for those who had to be displaced. I hope things turn to a more acceptable situation. The storms and the floods are still prevalent, I read in NY Times.
In the mean time, in Istanbul, we have the second day of freezing cold and snow. It was howling winds and constant snowing in the night and we woke up to a snow-covered Istanbul.

Two photos from this morning: Looking over towards Hagia Sophia (South-west) and looking over at the Bosphorus Bridge (South-east).
Love your pictures of the awesome skies over the Bosphorus. Fabulous light and colours. Hope you are staying warm.
Lots of bad weather around the world as you say.
Hope you're staying dry as possible, Dusty.
Pretty wet in the Uk at the moment. Lots of flooding in the north of England. Pretty wet where I am in the midlands as well, but nothing yet that we don't get most years.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.
Floods in the UK caused some turmoil and lots of distress, I know. Glad your vicinity was safe and dry. Floods have become a regular items of the news ever year for the past couple of years now; probably because of Global Warming ....
