Thanks Sury. It was a great night to visit, as there weren't a lot of people to work around with the longer exposures and tripod. We were there for about an hour and 45 minutes. I could've stayed twice as long but they were getting ready to close the doors.

Oh, wow. Excellent capture of the fireworks and the spirit of the festival too. Is that how town celebrates
(as in organized by a body across the town) or how towns people celebrate (as in each to his/her own)?

Thanks Sury. It's pretty much every family that buys fireworks and then lights them off at midnight. They lit a few smaller ones off on each side. It sounds like a war zone. Some muffled rumbles in the distance and some very close BOOMs cracking overhead. It was like this for 20 minutes and then slowly tapered off through the remainder of the night. I hear it's pretty big on New Year's also, so maybe I can get some video/audio of it then.

This one was pretty close.

How is the weather at this time of the year?
It should be approaching summer right?

Now is summer time in Peru, but that also means it is the rainy season in the sierras and the jungle (in the mountains and the jungle, you have the dry season and the rainy season, temperature doesn't really change that much during the day)

Thank you Pako. I presume it would be more tropical with Tropic of Capricorn in the "vicinity" or perhaps somewhat sub-tropic.
So my trip in end of April and first week of May is about the onset of winter or equivalent of end of october/beginning of Nov. in
tropics.

The latest one phenomenal, Jeff. I bet it was almost over your head.
