In golf, the blind shot is a challenge presented by the course architect that shields the landing area from the golfer and forces one to trust his capabilities without visual confirmation. Of course this is only truly effective on the first time playing the course, but it still has merit on subsequent encounters. When it comes to photography, for me it means putting up a blind under my deck and sitting in a confined space until subjects show up to be photographed.
The main goal was to test the expanded flexible spot focusing of the a77II when used with the Tamron 150-600, I used the Minolta cable release and had the camera set to continuous focus and hi speed drive mode. Didn't get any action shots but it's only my first day. The focus spot did move with the bird and I found that quite beneficial. Will keep trying.
The rig before crawling it into the blind.
Some shots.

Re: Blind Shots
Very good for blind shot.
Anyway, I prefer to use cellphone with WiFi and connect A77II over PlayMemories Mobile. In this combination you can see what going on your camera on the cellphone screen.

Thanks for commenting.
I tinkered with the wifi feature but you can't move the camera of change focus sections. It seems for now, there is no substitute for solitary confinement.

May I just say that they are brilliant and neatly thought through and the subjects are beautiful each...and leave in silent admiration, JBTaylor ?
