I guess that's my question, is there any chance the Sigma 8mm fisheye will be made for the alpha mount?
I'm now triyng to get into some VR360 shooting, my findings are:
The Canon G7 I use with the Nikon Fisheye, gives circular pictures. These are super easy to stitch in Ptgui. The only thing is the quality, the Canon takes pics with a resolution of 10 Mb. A circular image will be I guess half, stitching 3 or 4 images together give a reasonable VR360 result ( .mov ), as long as one does nog zoom in to much.
This is a test with the canon and the nikon FC E9 fisheye.

I've tried the A900 with a Sigma 15mm Full frame fisheye. Not even in 24 Mb, but half of this. Stitching about 8 pic around, and one zenith and nadir shot, it works. I have to master the stitching though, I'm not always pleased with the result.
Example with the a900 and 15mm Sigma

The quality on the other end is great, so much better on even not full quallity ( Ptgui stitches default with 70 % ) , makes me decide not to use the Nikon FC E9 anymore.
So, My solution would be the a900, with a circular fisheye...........
any chance on the 8mm Sigma fisheye for Alpha?

Re: any chance on the 8mm Sigma fisheye for Alpha?
I guess Sigma answered my question......
I tried to mail them, as well to HQ as our local importer here, but I got no answers.
On the Sigma site though, there stil was a remark, that the release date for the sony mount would be given later.
That remark is now gone, which suggests ther will be no Sony mount Sigma 8 mm............
Any chance on buying one, and adapt the mount to Sony?
