I have not kept a consistent journal over the years so that is a bit of problem with regards to a book. The only time I kept one and wrote in it everyday was the first time I lived and worked in Japan for a few years. I still have it and I bet it would be fun to go back and read it. I'll have to do that. I recall that there was lots of things about my impressions of Japanese culture, funny incidents, misunderstandings, and so on. Also, I was single at the time so I suspect I wrote things about various girlfriends.

I wonder if I will embarrass myself by reading it again.
Somewhere I have one that I kept while on a 10 week camping safari in Africa in 1993. I don't know where it is, but I know I haven't thrown it out. I haven't looked at it since then so I don't know what I wrote in it, but I recall I met a vivacious young English woman there and we developed a very flirtatious relationship among other things so I probably have stuff about her in it. It would be fun to go back and read it.
