Pretty sharp for f7.1 Doc, good detail on the stamens, I don't think I've ever seen a white Hibiscus before, good one.
Ah now I can see that orange centre better on the smal violet flowers Yildiz, thanks for that, couldn't quite see it properly before, a very striking colour combination and nice looking flower arrangement, no wonder you have that one in the garden

Hi Greg,

If weather and light should be permissive, I can take better shots of the Butterfly Bush flower. These were taken during some bright moments, I have to say and the background is a bit distracting as you pointed out earlier.

I love unsual colour combinations and interesting formations and flowers and of course plants are wonderful sources for inspiration.

Hi all - I'm new to this forum but thought I could show my my photo of a bluebell coming into bud. A few weeks old now of course but I'm stilll quite proud of it. Taken on my A350 with a Tamron 90mm macro lens. I've just got to work out how to!!....I think I have it.... I'd love some feedback please.

Fantastic flower pictures over the last week - great stuff The last three of yours, Yildiz, have great colour and detail. Great to see the Doc is back as well

Anna, interesting to see a Bluebell in bud - not something I've seen photographed much. Lovely bokeh. It would be interesting, from a botanical view, to see the tip of the stem, but this shouldn't affect what is in effect a portrait. I find it difficult to judge what should be in focus and what is acceptable blurred, and I suspect this varies from viewer to viewer as the focus tells the story of the picture in this sort of shot for me. I'm undecided on this one. Looking forward to seeing more from the Tamron 90mm.

With all of these I'm a bit disappointed that the centers are blown out. There's just not enough range to get them in and not kill the texture of the flower. Maybe if I learn more PP skills, I can figure out how to fix that.

Nice pictures you made here. I don't know if you are a lightroom user, but you could fix the centers easily with the tool for local adjustment, and use it to reduce the exposure.

Oo I could be wrong but that one looks more like an Oleander variety (with those long slender leaves) than a Desert Rose Yildiz, we've got both in the yard here, the Oleander does flower well most of the time, but I think the Desert Rose has the prettier flower of the two. I like the genuine rose as well, still one of the nicest flowers devised by Mother nature.

Dusty I think the centres are more just out of DOF range than anything, mostly, on a few there is a bit of overexposure of the centres as well I guess. You could experiment with exposing more for the centre if you wanted too, I'd be inclined too maybe stop down more at minus 1/3-2/3, maybe go back another couple or few paces and either zoom in a bit for the pic or crop afterwards, whatever works best, pretty flowers though.
