Thank you Yildiz .

At the Eden project, as well as typical selections of wild flowers from the UK growing outside, in one of the Eden Project Biomes they also had a "Californian Wild Flower" section. I hope the Californians on the forum find this small shot representative . I notice that it has Sury's orange poppies so they must be on the right track.

Yes, they are California poppies alright. My daughter's favorite flower and if I am not mistaken,
it is also State flower.

This size, indeed shows off some of the finer details of the flowers. They are beautiful and would deliver some wonderful closeups with a good selection of DoF.

These are nicely taken, smooth shots, Shelika. : ) Well done!

Shellof Depth of Field works great, creating a dreamy background.

The second and the third flower species probably are 'moss roses' or 'Portulaca grandiflora' as they are called in Latin.

Hi Shelika, lovely shots, I prefer #1 and #2 with their great out of focus backgrounds. The colours and shapes in #1 are particularly pleasing. The out of focus area in #3 looks a bit "wirey" (not sure if that is the correct term) but it could just be me .

Hi Sury - that is a cracker. Lovely detail in the petals. Some sort of fuschia?
