Cheers Doc, this was from a wedding I shot, with my daughter, a week or so ago. Very poignant day as the groom who is a good friend of mine has terminal (i.e. a year or two at most) cancer. In spite of, or perhaps because of, that it was a very happy day. Keeping to the portrait theme here's one of the couple by me:-


That is an amazing and inspiring story. It made a such an impact on my day. For whatever reason,
the ennui that engulfed me today, just vaporized. Thank you for sharing and help me feel better.

Hi,
Lighting and focus are intentional: there is an (old) trend on portraiture that stipulate that a good portrait must be backlighted and the focus goes to the eye closer to the camera. Both this principles make your portraits pleasant.

Just had a catch up! How nice to see friends and family here, too. I particularly like Dr Harout's 'smoking 50s Gumshoe' self portrait! And the happy Hindu lady! Too many to mention individually.
I have been absent for various reasons. One was my OH had a big trip to Africa and the preparations took up time. Also my family and hid 90 yo Mum somewhat monopolised me in his absence. At least it stopped me feeling as lonely.

I saturated Lulu’s eyes a bit. They are already very blue - like my Dad who was big Victor. I’m not sure if it’s too much? Her fairness was a bit of a surprise as her Mum has an olive complexion, black hair and brown eyes and expected a little mini version of herself!!



Victor was playing ‘peek a boo’ with his Granddad around the side of the hide with a little pot teddy garden ornament he took a fancy to.
