Good one Doc, an interesting bird, I was reading up about the bird and came across a brief report about a woman who fell off a cliff in Spain this month (and died apparently) but was eaten by Griffons before rescue teams could recover the body, there was only some bones and clothes left (I don’t know how long it was after the fall that the recovery attempt was made).

Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus)

Nice Griffon vulture, but I do like the sound of a Griffon

in a Spitfire, although the Merlin has a more refined purr compared to the harsh staccato of the Griffon.

A meagre start with our feathered friends and nothing so exotic as vulture.
