Hi Robbie, :)

Nice bees! I also had a look at your other photos at Photobucket and found the 'weaver' to be very cute too!

Thanks,

Hi Robbie, your #2 with all of the pollen is awesome. Great shot.

Not in the same league as that one, but here is one of mine from the recent Beercan thread.

Thanks Yildiz. Only use photobucket when I have to post an image from a web address.

Nice pic Birma. Portrait crop would remove some of the "business". Bee nice and sharp.

Thanks Gustav. Waiting eagerly for your images.

That's fabulous Roger - the detail of the wing structure and the hairs on the bee's body are great - quite a pale coloured bee though? Please tell me that was with a macro lens?

Thanks for your comment :D

Sony Alpha a700 with Sony 100mm f2.8 macro lens and I believe the species is Anthophora furcata

They do come in various shades and some are more ginger than others.

The lighting is different here (both photos taken a couple of days ago) but the bee was a different colour.

Gosh, now I don't know what my next lens will be... 16-80Z? 100M? Why do you all make this so hard? Wonderful shots, guys.
